January 9, 2019Is Nude Rude
Is Nude Rude – As you do when you start any blog post – I did a google for the word rude, because I did know what nude was. Cambridge gave me a definition of not polite; offensive or embarrassing. So the next obvious thing to do while on the Cambridge site was to look up the word nude which gave me the definition not wearing any clothes. Which made me think that in every (work) day of my life, that I would easily run into 5 or 6 people who were simply and outright rude. People who I took offense to what was coming out of their mouth and people who embarrassed me by their actions. Wow this world is pretty rude and you know what being a work day …. they all were wearing clothes – rude with clothes.
Then on the weekend hanging out at the beach with friends in my other outfit – let’s call this a weekend outfit or lack thereof – nude. Despite the fact that most people are friendly and chatty, you also get those that are loud and obnoxious or do things that are are embarrassing. Hang on – isn’t that the definition of rude …. so rude people are everywhere – they do not discriminate as to whether they have clothes on or not. Saying things that are not polite or offend or doing things that embarrass does not rely upon whether clothes are being worn or not.
So is rude directly proportional to nude? I would say not … I would suggest that this world is full of rude people that you will meet on the beach, in shops, at cinemas at the service station (I could go on) but let’s just say everywhere – everywhere where people wear clothes and everywhere where people don’t wear clothes. So whatever actions that define your level of polite, offensive or embarrassing – because everyone has different levels that they are happy to tolerate – surround yourself with people that do not exceed that level. If they have clothes on or not that is a whole other story – stay safe and try on that outfit that you don’t keep in you cupboard today!
